New Student Orientation
The Counseling & Advising Center, the Office of Enrollment Services, the Office of Financial Aid, and Student Government at Yakima Valley College (YVC) sponsors New Student Orientation (NSO) to provide new college students an opportunity to learn how to navigate campus and introduce them to the YVC community.
MG阿拉德之怒官网At NSO, new students will begin to build a network of resources that will help them start their YVC journey on the right path. Students will learn about:
- The Student Code of Conduct
- Degrees and Programs Offered at YVC
- Academic Pathways and Advising
- College Catalog
- Important Date Calendars
- Academic Resources
- Financial Aid
MG阿拉德之怒官网NSO is required for all new students with less than 30 college level credits. Students that start at YVC in Summer Quarter must attend NSO in the following Fall Quarter.

Students may register for Open sessions. Please note the session status may change as sessions fill quickly.
Deadlines to register for NSO are listed in the Important DatesMG阿拉德之怒官网 for each quarter.
Students should arrive 30 minutes early to allow for a smooth check-in. Students who show up late will not be allowed into their session. Late students may attend the last session if space is available. Students should bring a government issued photo ID. NSO should take approximately two hours.
